I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have taught grades three through six. I have also had the opportunity to teach a ⅘ multiage. That was one of the most rewarding experiences in my teaching career, because I got to have fourth and fifth graders in one classroom and then had the chance to keep the fourth graders as fifth graders. I have taught at several schools in Adams 12. I started at Wyco, then moved to Westview , next I went back to Tarver where I student taught and then made my home at Eagleview. I was one on the lucky people that opened Eagleview, so even though there has been changes I have been a constant here and love teaching at Eagleview. I am also one of the student council sponsors and love working with kids to be able to have pride in their school.
I attended college at the University of Northern Colorado at earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Then I went the University of Colorado where I received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. While I was getting my masters degree my brother was playing football at CU, so I became a huge CU fan even though I grew up in Nebraska. Getting a masters degree didn’t seem to be quite enough, so I went back to school and got my principal’s license. I decided that wasn’t the path I wanted to take, but it was great to learn more in the education field.
