I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I attended Denver Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in Denver. I attended University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where I received a BA in Elementary Education. After graduating I accepted a job in Houston, Texas, where I taught second grade for two years. I then returned to Colorado and continued my teaching career in Adams 12 where I taught kindergarten at Riverdale Elementary, second and third grade at Thornton Elementary, and then had the privilege of opening Eagleview Elementary in 1998 where I taught third grade for 15 years and then moved to second grade. I love teaching the students and can’t imagine doing anything else.
On a more personal note, I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family and friends. I will take any opportunity I can to take a trip to the mountains, where I enjoy hiking, taking photos, visiting the small mountain communities, or just driving and enjoying the beautiful scenery. I also enjoy scrapbooking, riding my bike, working in my yard, and taking long walks in my community.
