EVE Update - October 2020
Dear Eagleview Families,
Welcome to fall! I hope this finds our families doing well! We have officially transitioned our students to the continued learning model of remote learning or return to in-person learning. Due to the numbers for each learning model, we had to make adjustments for teacher assignments. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we have navigated the logistics of the transition at this time of year. The year 2020 has certainly presented us with challenges! With that, I am proud of our staff for truly “Rising to the Challenge”.
As we move into October, we hope to get on a path of a “new normal” with few interruptions. We certainly want to make up for lost ground in instruction and get reconnected as a school community.
Our school goals for the year come in the form of three pillars:
● Elevating our Literacy Culture with the Read/Write Connection
● Formative Practices
● School Climate that Reflects Resilience and Well-Being
The first two goals are an extension of our goals from the last school year, while deepening our understanding through student work. For our third goal related to school climate, we are partnering with the University of Colorado to engage in new learning using the RISE framework (Resilience in Schools and Educators.) Given the uncertainty of our current times, we find the social emotional work to be of utmost importance. Alongside the RISE framework, we will continue our implementation of Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) in the classrooms.
We recognize the communication has been extensive from all levels. As we move ahead, you can expect a monthly newsletter to come out at the beginning of the month. In addition, a Mid Month Reminder email will be sent to remind families of events and updates for the month and/or are time sensitive.
Thanks so much for your continuous support. If you have any comments, questions, feedback or compliments, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email at email@example.com
