EVE Update - September 2019
Dear Eagleview Families,
Welcome Back! It’s been an incredible start to the school year! I love seeing the energy in the classroom and to see our motto of “To Learn, To Work Hard and Be Positive” come to life throughout the school!
We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to connect with families at the Back to School night. As you know, we have welcomed some new faces to our staff. We couldn’t be more excited to have such a vibrant and enthusiastic crew working alongside our students. We are also excited to welcome all of our newest students to Eagleview! As I introduce myself to each of them, I tell them they have landed at the best school!
We certainly will not be wasting any time, as September is a busy month ahead! We will kick off the month by conducting our fall assessment day on Tuesday, September 3rd. Students will only be required to attend for their scheduled time. The day serves as an opportunity for our teachers to assess each student in both literacy and mathematics. We use this information as our baseline for the year and teachers use this important information to guide their instructional decisions moving forward.
Our 2019 Eagleview Soaring Sprint Fundraiser has officially begun! Our students participated in the first assembly of the year to kick-off our major fundraiser of the year. Mark your calendars --our Soaring Sprint, Carnival and Silent Auction is set to take place on Friday, September 27th. Our Eagleview Parent Teacher Partnership (EPTP) has been hard at work planning the annual event. You won’t want to miss it -- we will have a Ninja Nation course, amazing items at the silent auction, and it will be a great community event as we hope to meet our goal of raising $25,000! Informational packets and pledge tools have been sent home with each student this week.
Thanks so much for your continuous support and for a tremendous 2019-2020 school year! . If you have any comments, questions, feedback or compliments, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
