EVE Update - September 2018
Hi Eagleview Families,
It has been an incredible start to the school year! We are thrilled to be back in action as we strive to bring our school motto to life -- “To Learn, To Work Hard, and To Be Positive!”
September will be a busy month ahead. We will kick off the month by conducting our fall assessments on September 5th. Students will only be required to attend for their scheduled time. This will be a chance for our teachers to assess our students in both literacy and mathematics. The information gained will serve as our diagnostic data to inform the instructional next steps in our classrooms.
Our students have already taken part in our first assembly of the school year, as we have officially kicked off our major fundraiser of the year – the Eagleview Soaring Sprint, Carnival and Silent Auction. Our Eagleview Parent Teacher Partnership (EPTP) group has been hard at work planning the big event set to take place on Friday, September 28th. It is sure to be an awesome event for our entire community – mark your calendars now! Our school goal is to raise $25,000! This will be our LONE major fundraiser of the year and appreciate your support to help your Eagle(s) reach the student goal of $100 each! We will be sending a full informational packet with tools in a separate email.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our EVE University Night coming up on September 13th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. In response to your feedback last year, we are hosting a night focused on curriculum and programs offered at EVE. We will be offering a variety of courses related to our collective work as a school. Come learn all about our new literacy resource from American Reading Company, practices and resources within our Everyday Math 4 program, ELEVATE (Adams 12 Five Star Schools Strategic Plan), social-emotional learning, FLIGHT (Co-curricular program), and beyond.
As always, my goal is to keep you well informed with the daily happenings of Eagleview! Thanks so much for your continuous support. If you have any comments, questions, feedback or compliments, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
