Subject: ELD Class
This is Mrs. Netolicky, your child’s ELD (English Language Development) teacher. I know these are scary times and we are all doing our best to keep ourselves and our children and families safe. We are working to support you by helping your child learn at home. There’s a big learning curve for all of us regarding remote learning, and we need to be patient as we figure out how to do it together. We are keeping in mind your daily struggles as a parent and any additional responsibilities your child may have at home due to this global health crisis. There’s no right way of teaching at a distance but I want to make it easier by giving you some information on this classroom website and additional instructions on how to access classroom tools that we will be using during this time.
It is really important that students check their weekly agendas daily on the classroom website, as this document will guide them through their daily assignments. CLICK THE "REMOTE LEARNING" TAB IN YOUR MENU LINKS TO ACCESS ASSIGNMENTS. There will be an assignment every day of the week and I will keep track of your student's participation during this time.
The great thing about this learning is it can done at any time that is convenient for you. If it's easier to do several assignments in one day you are free to do that. Make this fit your schedule and what is happening in your home.
Please review this information with your child. If you need me, please contact me via email at any time at email@example.com so we can set up a time for a phone or video call during my office hours.
