EVE Update - October 2021
Dear Eagleview Families,
It’s hard to believe it’s already October! I hope this finds everyone doing well and staying healthy. It’s been a fast and furious start for us and we are pleased to have had a strong start to the year. While we are still in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been able to establish some momentum. Not only are we in full motion instructionally, we were thrilled to also welcome back our FLIGHT co-curricular program this week!
We have a busy month ahead with spirit nights, musical performances, parent/teacher conferences, the book fair, and finally we will end the month with our annual Trunk or Treat event! Please note the important dates, as we very much look forward to your participation in each!
As always, we are looking forward to connecting with each of our families for our Parent / Teacher conferences on October 14th. The Sign Up Genius links will go live on Saturday, October 2nd for you to sign up. We view this time as an opportunity to share the progress your child has made thus far, determine actionable next steps, and most importantly we look forward to the chance to connect as partners!
On another note, we wanted to share a quick note about safety. We have put forth various safety measures for morning drop off and afternoon pick up. One concern that continues to be an issue is the lack of use of the crosswalk on the west side of the school (calming island). It is incredibly dangerous to have folks crossing randomly on Summit Grove. While it’s a few extra steps to the crosswalk, the extra steps ensure the safety for everyone. Further, please do not make U-turns on Summit Grove. Both pedestrians and cars have nearly gotten hit. This too, is an unnecessary move that puts the safety of others at risk. We thank you for doing your part to promote safe practices on our school grounds
Finally, one final reminder... Please connect with your student to communicate your pick up or getting home plan. We have had an increase of students in the office after school being picked up late, or for having unclear plans about how to get home.
Thanks so much for your continuous support, and for working together to start off strong. If you have any comments, questions, feedback or compliments, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email at email@example.com.
