Dear Eagleview Families,
Happy February-- it’s “I Love to Read” month and in the middle of the month we will also celebrate Random Acts of Kindness week (2/12-2/20). Both reading and kindness are what we are all about here at Eagleview!
It is SO important students are reading extensively beyond the school day. We recognize the challenges with remote learning and how difficult it is to stay true to a schedule and normal routines. We maintain our goal as a school for each of our students to get 4 steps of reading in a day (each step equals 15 minutes), with two steps to be attained at school and two at home.
You will find our monthly Random Acts of Kindness calendar attached to the newsletter that provides an array of ideas to spread kindness at home, school and in the community. We love to hear about, and capture the good happening in our school community. Kindness breeds kindness, so get out there and share the love!
Beginning the evening of February 11th and into February 12th, we will be hosting our spring semester Parent/Teacher conferences. Given the circumstances of Covid, all conferences will be conducted remotely via Google Meet. We look forward to connecting with each of our families to discuss student progress and mid year data points. Teachers will be sharing finalized schedules and details about how to log in online. We value your insight as we develop some clear action steps for the rest of the semester.
It’s hard to believe we are still in the midst of the pandemic. Everyone is anxiously awaiting some semblance of normalcy. Our collective efforts surrounding safety continue to be integral for us to be able to maintain momentum in our classrooms. Please contact the school if your student has been in close contact with a positive case or have tested positive. This will allow us to follow up accordingly with school-related items and next steps.
We are thrilled to be back in the swing of the things, as we welcomed back our in-person learners last week.
